Job summary

The helicopter B1.3 Engineer is responsible for the line maintenance of the AW139 and occasionally H175 helicopter(s) at our clients Den Helder base. They work in a team of engineers under supervision of the Shift Supervisor.
The engineer reports hierarchically to the Base Manager and functionally to the Maintenance Lead.

Responsibilities & areas

Line Maintenance

  • Work on aircraft and aircraft components as per Work Order, whilst respecting any restriction applicable.

  • Ensure that all safety regulations are followed.

  • Report any safety hazard and mandatory reportable occurrence via occurrence reporting system.

  • Ensure correct following and performing of all maintenance instructions as detailed in the approved maintenance data and ensure correct following of all MOE procedures.

  • Report if any procedure is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous.

  • Record all performed maintenance in the work file and ensure all tasks are properly certified.

  • Raise non-routine tasks or defect entries in the system for all unscheduled findings.

  • Ensure Independent Inspections are performed on all safety critical tasks.

  • Keep the work space clean and tidy and keep the tools and equipment in good working order.

  • Ensure, together with all engineers, a variable & flexible work planning & work roster based on business continuity.

  • Ensure maintenance is completed before due and within the appropriate time scales to protect the operational needs.

  • Ensure, in cooperation with Supply Chain, Store & support services that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment.

  • Ensure, based on flight crew & other relevant information, daily problem analysis & problem solving.

Skills & Experience

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a licensed engineer.

  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience working on AW139 aircraft type.

  • Engineering experience in different aviation companies is a plus.

Skills

  • EASA Part 66 B1.3 License

  • Type rating AW139 is required, type rating H175 is a plus.

  • ICT literate (Rusada Envision knowledge is a plus)

  • Languages: English (professional level)

  • Good communicator:

    • debriefing with flight crew and Shift Supervisor

    • handover of work from/to previous/next shift

  • Able to work independently when performing in a less controlled environment and to take initiative to improve work and complete tasks within appropriate time scales.

  • Problem solver/logic thinking.
