Role Summary |
As a self-motivated B1 Engineer, you will be using your experience within an aircraft engineering environment for maintenance activities, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in response to our customers’ work orders / requirements.
You will have responsibility for the work performed whilst supervising and mentoring team members as the situation demands, to ensure the smooth running of the operation, whilst meeting the Part 145 maintenance requirements, our internal processes & procedures, and our customer expectations.
Putting safety and quality first, you will ensure adherence to company and regulatory processes & procedures, whilst carrying out aircraft maintenance in line with your company approval. Whilst upholding the highest level of engineering standards and practices, you will assist in driving the team to deliver our maintenance services, e.g., aircraft and engine storage, engine removals, modification and defect rectification.

P145 Planning Officer – Aircraft Maintenance

We’re supporting a well-established and growing Part 145 maintenance organisation based in St Athan that is looking to add an experienced P145 Planning Officer to its planning team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation — coordinating work scopes, managing work orders, and ensuring maintenance activity is planned efficiently, compliantly, and on time.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Planning Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and control of aircraft maintenance planning activities under Part 145. You’ll play a key role in supporting production by ensuring resources, materials, and documentation are in place ahead of aircraft input.
Key Responsibilities

Review and evaluate incoming work scopes for capacity, feasibility, and planning impact

Issue daily workload and task allocation to the maintenance teams

Identify material, tooling, and resource requirements from work scopes

Create, stage, and manage work orders within the planning system

Plan work orders to ensure resource availability and efficient workflow

Maintain and control aircraft technical records

Manage technical publications and ensure documentation is current and compliant

Support production and maintenance teams to achieve planned turnaround times

The Role
