The Opportunity
Volantes Technical Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Leonardo AW139 Helicopter Mechanics for a permanent opportunity based in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy FAA Part 145 maintenance environment supporting heavy maintenance, inspections, and completions activity on the AW139 platform. With a strong pipeline of forecasted work, we are looking to speak with experienced rotary mechanics who are confident working within a fast-paced MRO setting.
The Role
You will play a key role in carrying out maintenance, inspections, and repair activity on Leonardo AW139 helicopters, working alongside a skilled team of mechanics, avionics technicians, sheet metal specialists, and composites personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and heavy maintenance on Leonardo AW139 helicopters
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, including major phase and 4-Year Inspections
- Carry out maintenance in accordance with maintenance manuals, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable FAA regulations
- Support pre and post maintenance check flight activity
- Conduct flight line operations including ground runs and leak checks
- Perform Track & Balance procedures
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary FAA Part 145 environment
- Occasional off-site maintenance activity may be required
Requirements

IFE ENGINEER
Coordinate the operation, maintenance, and development of aircraft inflight entertainment (IFE) and cabin management systems (CMS). Ensure the serviceability of related devices, assist in upgrades and modifications, troubleshoot technical issues, and support compliance with operational standards.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Device Management
- Ensure the serviceability and readiness of IFE carry-on devices by cleaning, charging, updating software, and managing subscriptions.
Technical Support
- Assist the Engineering department in maintaining and troubleshooting IFE/CMS systems.
- Provide focused technical support for defect investigations and operational issues related to IFE/CMS systems.
System Documentation
- Maintain and update software, firmware, and hardware matrices for IFE/CMS equipment across the fleet.
- Support the creation of operational procedures for equipment not covered in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM).
Content Management
- Coordinate and action periodic updates for content, such as live TV, media downloads, and movie refreshes.
Training and Development
- Initiate and support training programs, including on-the-job (OJT) and structured refresher courses for IFE/CMS systems.
Upgrades and Modifications
- Collaborate with the Corporate Planning department on upgrades, obsolescence solutions, and integration of new IFE/CMS technologies.
Operational Support
- Act as a backup for flying IFE engineers during operational flights as required.
Innovation and Solutions
- Assist in exploring and implementing new technologies, modifications, and system enhancements.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the direct supervisor to support Inflight entertainment goals.
COMMUNICATION
Internal Communication:
- Liaise with the Base Maintenance Manager to report on IFE/CMS status and operational challenges.

- Coordinate with the Corporate Planning Department on system upgrades and technological improvements.
External Communication:
- Communicate with vendors for system updates, support, and subscription management.

Role Summary |
To provide support to the CMM, including but not limited to management of the SMS. Support in conducting audits in order to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards, company procedures and safety policies. Key responsibilities: · Day to day management of the Company SMS · Generation of Safety Action Group (SAG) material & hosting meetings · Assisting AM to create & present Safety Review Board (SRB) slide-pack · Assist with the production & implementation of the Part 145 audit programme · Assist with control of the company authorisation system Core elements will include: · Promotion of the Safety Policy & SMS · Conducting Safety Investigations in support of the SMS Programme · Monitoring and providing feedback on the safety performance of the organisation · Facilitation of hazard identification, risk assessment and management |

Skills/Experience |
The ideal candidate shall possess the following: · Experienced and competent Investigator · Detailed knowledge of EASA / CAA Part 145 Regulations and its practical application · Practical experience in Part 145 environment · Current in Safety Training (Including Human Factors), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), Electrical Wiring Interconnecting Systems (EWIS) training · Passport enabling travel to locations as required by ecube as part of the role · Full, clean UK driving license · Eligible to qualify for and hold UK airside security pass · Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) etc. Preferred training: · Qualified Auditor experienced in aviation environment · Detailed knowledge of Part 66 requirements |

Maintenance Planner
📍Cyprus
Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a Planner for a full-time position based in Cyprus, supporting maintenance planning and work scheduling within a Part 145 AMO environment.
Scope:
Supports Maintenance Planning and work scheduling duties in line with Part 145 AMO requirements. The Planner will assist the Planning Manager with the following accountabilities:
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and planning activities to ensure maintenance work is effectively scheduled and coordinated using Planning’s integrated interface software for work ordering, task assignment, and part procurement.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the efficient management of spares inventory and overall logistics activities, ensuring spares provisioning is timely, cost-effective, and reliable.
- Ensure purchasing and sub-contracted overhaul agency activities meet regulatory authority requirements and align with internal inventory performance standards.
- Issue maintenance work orders, packages, and task cards for both routine and controlled non-routine maintenance, or organise contractor-provided task cards for execution by aircraft mechanics.
- Monitor the cost-effectiveness of maintenance and purchasing activities and advise the Maintenance Manager accordingly.
- Maintain records of time life data for all controlled items within the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP).
- Interpret maintenance requirements into actionable maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate and select aircraft components and material suppliers, including arranging their assessment prior to ordering parts.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate third-party work preparation related to contracted maintenance activities and ensure delivery of all associated documentation upon completion.
