This is a highly specialist consultancy-style contract assignment, ideal for a senior RF/EMC professional with deep expertise in aeronautical spectrum protection and safety-of-life radiocommunication systems.

You will provide a detailed technical analysis and assessment of the radio interference effects and controls associated with Special Mission Aircraft systems. This includes:

• Undertaking a comprehensive assessment of the potential impact of unintended emissions, spurious emissions, and out-of-band transmissions on safety-of-life radiocommunication services.
• Overseeing ground measurements, analysis and presentation of measured RF emissions data from relevant aircraft systems, performed at a UK location where free space transmissions are permitted.
• Giving particular consideration to the protection of spectrum allocated to the Aeronautical Mobile (R) Service and Aeronautical Radionavigation Service, where harmful interference could carry adverse safety consequences.
