Job Description
Volantes Technical Recruitment are recruiting for a Workshop Technician for our client. You will assist the Workshop Supervisor to accomplish aviation unit, and intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all assigned aircraft turbine engines and components.
Minimum Qualification:
- An Federal Aviation Administration Power Plant (P) license EASA Part 66 B1.3 or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal PT6C turbine engine training course from an accredited military or civilian Training School.
- AW139 Type Training
- Minimum 5 years maintaining and troubleshooting rotary wing turbine engines
- Minimum of 5 Years Must have a minimum of 5 years working with PT6C installed on AW139.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Removes, replaces, services, prepares, preserves, cleans and stores engine assembles or components.
- Disassembles repairs, resembles, adjusts, diagnose tests turbine engine systems, subsystems and components according to applicable manuals and directives.
- Assists in troubleshooting engines/engine components and rigging engine controls.
- Uses and performs user maintenance on common and special tools.
- Requisitions aircraft parts, and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft engine and components.
- Inspects and prepares forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751.
- Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the engines and associated components and subsytems.
- Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.
Other:
- Must have good knowledge of Special Operations mission requirements, equipment and maintenance programs.
- Must have strong program management background with a good understanding of contract law and terminology used in aviation contracts.
- Must have a good working knowledge of all computer applications.
- Must have strong charismatic and delegating attributes.
- Must work well with other departments.
