Volantes Technical Recruitment is proud to represent a forward-thinking aviation design organisation currently seeking a Part 21 Design Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented, motivated, and detail-oriented individual looking to progress their career in aircraft cabin interior and livery design.

You'll be joining a dynamic team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions to airline operators and leasing companies across Europe and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and checking of design certification documentation

  • Development of quotations for customer proposals and project planning

  • Verification that designs meet all relevant airworthiness and certification requirements

  • Active participation in project management, including coordinating team meetings and stakeholder updates

  • Collaboration with maintenance and production organisations to ensure design feasibility and compliance

  • Customer liaison to clarify design requirements, timelines, and technical queries

  • Communication with EASA and/or relevant National Aviation Authorities regarding certification matters

  • Monitoring regulatory and industry developments to ensure ongoing compliance

  • Support in addressing audit findings with effective preventive and corrective actions

 

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Design Engineering role within aviation

  • Strong background in aircraft cabin interiors and external livery design

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office tools

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience with project management processes and stakeholder coordination

  • High level of personal integrity and a commitment to maintaining top-tier safety and quality standards

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of EASA Part 21 regulations and associated design standards

  • Prior experience liaising with EASA or national aviation authorities

  • Creative mindset with a passion for aviation innovation and design
