Volantes Technical Recruitment is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Monitoring & Safety Auditor to join a leading and rapidly growing aviation organisation.

This role is vital in ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance and supporting a proactive safety culture across all areas of aircraft operations, maintenance, training, and airworthiness management.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute audit schedules across Part-145, Part-147, and Part-CAMO scopes

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to EASA regulations and company procedures

  • Perform audits of external suppliers and subcontractors to verify regulatory and contractual compliance

 

Compliance Monitoring

  • Monitor organisational practices to ensure alignment with EASA regulations (Regulation EU No 1321/2014)

  • Identify non-conformities and lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date audit and compliance records

 

Safety Management Support

  • Support the Safety Management System (SMS) through hazard identification and risk assessment

  • Participate in safety investigations and help shape safety performance indicators

  • Promote a just culture through transparency and open safety reporting

 

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Assist in developing and delivering compliance and safety training

  • Remain informed on regulatory updates and best practices to enhance internal knowledge sharing

 

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare clear and detailed audit reports for internal stakeholders

  • Assist with the review and updating of compliance and safety documentation

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to relevant regulatory authorities

 

Candidate Profile:

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or related field

  • Alternatively, a recognised aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional regulatory training

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' auditing experience in aviation environments governed by EASA Part-145, Part-147 and/or Part-CAMO

  • Hands-on experience in compliance monitoring and audit execution

 

Certifications & Technical Knowledge

  • Training in EASA Part-145, Part-147, Part-CAMO

  • Familiarity with Quality Audit techniques (e.g., ISO 9001), SMS principles, Human Factors, EWIS, FTS

  • Skilled in root cause analysis tools like 5 Whys or Fishbone Diagram

 

Key Skills

  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with strong report-writing skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and audit software

  • Able to work independently while also supporting cross-functional teams

 

Desirable Extras:

  • Experience auditing training and airworthiness management organisations (Part-147, Part-CAMO)

  • Familiarity with ICAO Annex 19 and safety promotion techniques

  • Background in multinational or multi-approval aviation organisations
