Roster: 42 Days On / 42 Days Off (Equal Time Rotation)
Licence Required: UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence

Volantes Technical Recruitment is supporting a long-term helicopter operation in the Falkland Islands and is seeking applications from experienced B2 Licensed Engineers to join the engineering team based at Mount Pleasant.
Working within a remote operational environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting both line and base maintenance activities to ensure the continued airworthiness and operational readiness of the fleet.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will undertake a variety of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, including fault diagnosis, defect rectification, component replacement, modifications and inspections across the S92A and AW189 fleet.

Key Responsibilities
- Exercise B2 certification privileges on the S92A fleet.
- Carry out line and base maintenance activities in accordance with approved maintenance data and regulatory requirements.
- Perform aircraft modifications, repairs and component changes as required.
- Troubleshoot and rectify avionics and electrical system defects.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards of safety, compliance and workmanship.
- Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.
- Support operational requirements by ensuring aircraft are returned to service within required timescales.
- Liaise with the Chief Engineer regarding aircraft status, technical issues and maintenance planning.
- Assist with aircraft ground handling activities including marshalling and supervision of refuelling operations.
- Support and mentor junior engineers and trainees when required.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives and the maintenance of high engineering standards throughout the operation.
Essential Requirements
- UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence.
- Proven experience carrying out aircraft maintenance in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively under operational pressure and within demanding weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit engineering team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support a remote overseas operation.
Desirable Requirements
- AW189 type rating.
- S92 Type Rating
- Goodrich Hoist training.
- Experience working within offshore, SAR, military support or remote helicopter operations.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems such as SAP, eMX or RAMCO.
Additional Information
Candidates must be eligible to work in the Falkland Islands or be able to satisfy local work permit requirements.
The successful applicant will also be required to meet all applicable immigration, medical and security clearance requirements associated with working in the Falkland Islands.
