Job Description

Volantes Technical Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading international helicopter operator in the search for an experienced CAMO Type Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a safety-first organisation operating a modern rotary fleet across offshore and onshore missions.

The role carries genuine scope for growth — candidates with the experience and ambition to step into a Deputy CAM capacity are actively encouraged to apply and will be considered at the upper end of the salary range.

The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring the continuing airworthiness of AW139, AW169, and EC175B fleets in full compliance with UK CAA Part CAMO requirements. Working alongside a team of CAMO Type Engineers, you will manage all aspects of continuing airworthiness — from Aircraft Maintenance Programme development through to AOG technical support and OEM liaison.

The position includes participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota and will involve some travel to other bases. You will also represent the organisation at Type Certificate Holder (TCH) meetings and technical conferences, engaging directly with manufacturers and industry stakeholders.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with UK CAA Part CAMO regulations
  • Review and action Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and other mandatory and recommended requirements

Technical & Operational Support

  • Control and monitor aircraft technical status; liaise with maintenance planning teams
  • Liaise with Part 145 organisations to ensure timely and compliant maintenance execution
  • Analyse technical reliability data and implement corrective actions
  • Provide technical support to operations and engineering teams
  • Be available via on-call roster for AOG aircraft technical support
  • Act as liaison between Part 145 teams and the OEM / TCH for technical issues

Records, Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain aircraft records and ensure accuracy of all continuing airworthiness documentation
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
  • Represent the organisation at TCH meetings and technical conferences
  • Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, procedures, and controls

Experience & Skills

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a CAMO or aviation engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of helicopter maintenance and airworthiness requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of UK CAA regulatory structure and post-Brexit requirements
  • Experience interfacing with TCH/OEM technical teams and aviation authorities
