Volantes Technical Recruitment is proud to be supporting a long-term opportunity for experienced UK CAA B1.3 Licensed Helicopter Engineers to join a busy offshore helicopter operation, working on the H175 in both line and base maintenance environments.

The Role
As a B1.3 Engineer, you will be responsible for the continued airworthiness and maintenance of the helicopter fleet, working closely with fellow engineers and reporting directly to the Chief Engineer.
You will be involved in both line and base maintenance activities, ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest regulatory and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Line Maintenance

Carry out all line maintenance activities in accordance with UK CAA regulations and the approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)

Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timeframes to meet operational requirements

Perform daily fault analysis, troubleshooting, and rectification based on pilot and operational feedback

Conduct pre-flight checks (PRFs)

Brief and debrief pilots and the Chief Engineer as required

Ensure effective handover between shifts

Coordinate with stores and support services to ensure required tools, materials, and spares are available on site

Provide daily maintenance status updates to the Chief Engineer
Base Maintenance

Carry out scheduled and unscheduled base maintenance in compliance with UK CAA and MOE requirements

Support flexible work planning and shift coverage to ensure business continuity

Ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard

Participate in daily toolbox talks / Chief Engineer briefings

Liaise with stores and support teams to ensure parts and materials availability

Keep the Chief Engineer fully informed of maintenance progress and technical issues
Skills & Experience

UK CAA Part-66 B1.3 Licence (essential)

H175 type rating preferred, but non-rated engineers will be considered, with the intention of enrolling suitable candidates on the next available H175 type course

Minimum 5 years’ experience in aviation maintenance preferred

Experience in both line and base maintenance environments

Strong knowledge of aviation procedures, quality, and safety systems

Confident communicator, able to liaise with pilots, engineers, and management

Comfortable working independently and taking initiative when required
-
Logical, methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving
-
ICT literate (aviation maintenance software & MS Office)

Professional level English
