Volantes are delighted to be supporting one of our long-standing, well-established rotary aviation partners in Oxford with the recruitment of an experienced Commercial Manager – MRO to join their commercial business team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the commercial core of a leading rotary operation, overseeing the full commercial lifecycle of complex MRO programmes supporting both civil and military customers.

The Opportunity
As Commercial Manager – MRO, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering commercial strategies across maintenance, repair and overhaul projects.
You’ll be responsible for managing high-value contracts from bid through negotiation, execution and close-out, ensuring financial and operational targets are achieved.
This role offers a high level of autonomy and visibility, working closely with multiple internal teams to safeguard commercial interests and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and submission of quotations for maintenance activities.

Draft, negotiate and manage robust contract agreements, acting as the primary commercial point of contact.

Oversee full MRO contract execution, ensuring compliance and profitability.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Design, Production, Maintenance and Finance.

Monitor and report on contractual performance to leadership.

Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Proven background in commercial or contract management roles with strong commercial acumen.

Solid understanding of the MRO environment, including Part 145 and Part CAMO regulations.

Experience managing complex contracts and negotiations.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
