Volantes are delighted to be supporting one of our long-standing, well-established rotary aviation partners with the recruitment of UKCAA B1.3 & B2 Licensed Engineers to join their team at Shawbury.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious long-term rotary programme, supporting critical flight operations and maintenance activities.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced and motivated B1.3 and B2 Licensed Engineers to support line and non-routine maintenance on Airbus H135 rotorcraft.
Ideally, candidates will already hold an Airbus Helicopter type rating, however engineers without type will also be considered with a view to enrolment on a type course.
Multiple shift options are available, including:

Key Responsibilities

Certify line and non-routine maintenance on Airbus H135 aircraft.

Carry out maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by the LAE Supervisor.

Act as team lead, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Complete airframe, powerplant, mechanical and electrical system maintenance.

Replace and test avionic LRUs to verify serviceability.

Supervise mechanical fitters and certify their work.

Conduct workshop-based maintenance on mechanical, powerplant, component, and composite systems.

Assist with hangar operations, aircraft movement, and housekeeping duties.
Skills & Experience
-
UKCAA B1.3 or B2 Licence (essential).

Airbus H135 type rating (desirable) — or willingness to complete type training.

Proven experience working on rotary platforms within a line or base maintenance environment.

Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements

Ability to obtain DBS and SC security clearance.

Legal right to work in the UK.
