Head of Safety and Compliance (Airworthiness)
Location: Dublin (Hybrid working available)
Volantes Technical Recruitment has an exciting opportunity available for a Head of Safety and Compliance (Airworthiness) in Dublin. This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring all continuing airworthiness activities meet EASA and IAA requirements, supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
You will oversee the Compliance Monitoring System (CMS) and Safety Management System (SMS) within CAMO and maintenance functions, manage regulatory interactions, lead audits, and drive a culture of proactive safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with EASA Part-CAMO, Part-M, and Part-145 regulations

Manage and develop the CMS and SMS

Conduct internal audits and support IAA oversight

Maintain the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME)

Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes

Collaborate with technical and operational leaders

Monitor regulatory changes and update internal systems/manuals
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in continuing airworthiness

EASA Part-66 Licence or aeronautical degree (or equivalent)

Strong knowledge of EASA regulations, ICAO Annex 19, and Human Factors

Experience with SMS and CMS in a CAMO or Part-145 environment

Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

Experience liaising with competent authorities such as the IAA or EASA
