Volantes Technical Recruitment are looking for a proactive Service Delivery & Maintenance Planning Manager to lead the coordination and planning of aviation maintenance services under CAA Part M and Part 145. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on planning, ensuring maintenance is carried out efficiently, with minimal downtime, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll play a key part in keeping aircraft available and mission-ready, ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders and aligning maintenance with operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Communication: Act as the single point of contact, ensuring clear communication and information flow.

  • Operational Alignment: Integrate CAMO planning with operational needs, maximising aircraft availability across the fleet.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency and cost-saving measures.

  • Maintenance Planning: Oversee scheduled activities including work pack development, pre-input meetings, and resource allocation.

  • Emergent Work: Respond to unplanned maintenance quickly, ensuring alignment, approvals, and cost control.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs, produce reports, and highlight performance drivers.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, CAMO, and operational teams to deliver seamless service.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in service delivery management within the aviation sector

  • Strong knowledge of Part 145/Part M regulations

  • Comfortable discussing technical details with engineering teams

  • Track record of delivering against KPIs

  • High-level computer literacy (MS Office, planning tools such as MS Project)

  • Organised, proactive, and resilient under pressure

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable:

  • Project Management or Service Delivery qualifications (e.g. APM PMQ, MSP, ITIL)

  • Recognised technical qualification in engineering or planning

  • Experience with MRO software (Corridor, RAMCO, IFS, Quantum, etc.)
