Flight Operations Technical Manager – Operations Support (Non-Flying Role)
Location: Dublin (Hybrid)
Volantes Technical Recruitment is seeking a Flight Operations Technical Manager (Operations Support) in Dublin, offering an exciting non-flying role at the heart of flight operations.
Role Purpose:
The Flight Operations Technical Manager will be responsible for turning technical and regulatory requirements into practical procedures that keep operations safe, compliant, and efficient. This includes managing manuals, analysing performance data, supporting approvals, and acting as the technical link between regulators, manufacturers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, review, and update operational manuals and procedures.

Conduct performance analysis (take-off, landing, payload, fuel policy).

Support approvals including ETOPS/EDTO, RNP, RVSM, and MNPS.

Provide technical input for training, SOPs, and simulator scenarios.

Contribute to safety management, hazard identification, and risk assessments.

Support audits, compliance monitoring, and FDM investigations.

Liaise with regulators and manufacturers on technical and operational issues.

Participate in emergency response and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:

ATPL with B737 type rating (active or expired).

Minimum 10 years’ line experience as Captain or First Officer.

Strong knowledge of aircraft performance, systems, and operational documentation.

Experience in SMS, compliance, and auditing.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

ICAO English Level 4 or higher.
Desirable:

Experience with multiple aircraft types and advanced performance/navigation tools.

Strong project management and data analysis skills.

Commercial awareness, team management experience, and flexibility to travel.
