Crew Planner & Operations Assistant
Monday – Friday (40 Hours Per Week))
Duration: 9 months
Purpose of the Role
This role is key to ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective deployment of flight and cabin crew. You’ll be responsible for creating compliant and balanced crew rosters, supporting daily flight operations, and contributing to long-term crew planning. The position requires close collaboration with Flight Operations, Crew Control, and Training teams, while maintaining compliance with EASA Flight Time Limitations (FTL).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain monthly rosters for flight and cabin crew in line with regulations and operational needs.
- Monitor crew coverage, identify shortages, and resolve conflicts.
- Coordinate with other departments to integrate training, leave, and coverage into schedules.
- React quickly to operational disruptions, rescheduling crew while ensuring compliance.
- Ensure accurate data entry into crew management systems (e.g., Sky24)
- Communicate schedule changes clearly and professionally to crew.
- Contribute to long-term manpower planning, recruitment forecasts, and seasonal planning.
- Analyse crew productivity, utilisation, and compliance reports.
- Support continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.
- Maintain focus on safety, compliance, efficiency, and crew wellbeing.
Additional Duties
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support emergency response procedures.
- Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in crew planning, airline operations, or related roles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex scheduling challenges.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in crew management systems (e.g., Sky24) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA, ICAO).
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes.
- Fluency in English.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with airline scheduling software.
- Experience in multi-base or multi-country operations.
- Understanding of fatigue risk management.
- Knowledge of aviation legislation updates.
- Data analysis skills (e.g., Power BI, Excel pivot tables).
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Exposure to disruption management and recovery planning.
- Experience in process improvement and planning optimisation.
- Additional languages are a plus.
