Job Description

Volantes Technical are inviting applications from experienced CAA Type Rated B1.3 Licensed Engineers that are typed on the S92 or AW139, for a permanent position based in the Falkland Islands.

 

These roles form part of a long-term MOD support programme and are ideal for engineers looking for a unique and rewarding offshore rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Certification at B1.3 on S92A (AW189 type rating and/or Goodrich Hoist training would be advantageous).

  • Line maintenance, modifications, repairs, and component changes on S92/AW189 aircraft as required.

  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in line with CAA regulations and internal standards.

  • Support continuous improvement of engineering standards and procedures.

  • Work within agreed timescales to maintain aircraft availability and operational readiness.

  • Regular communication with the Chief Engineer to report maintenance status.

  • Aircraft ground handling duties, including marshalling and refuelling.

  • Mentoring and supervision of trainees where required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • CAA Part 66 B1.3 Licence with S92 type rating.

  • Demonstrable experience performing safe, effective aircraft maintenance operations.

  • Capable of working under pressure in varied weather conditions.

  • Eligibility to work in the Falkland Islands or meet relevant work permit requirements.

  • Competency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, eMX, RAMCO) preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • A proactive team player with flexibility to support operations in remote locations.
