Job Description

Volantes Technical Recruitment, on behalf of our UAE based Rotary client have the permanent role of Aviation Safety Officer available.

 

This is a full-time permanent role that would involve full relocation to the area if you aren’t already based there.

 

In Summary

 

Our client is specifically looking for an experienced Aviation Safety Officer with expertise in rotary-wing operations, particularly on the AW139 airframe.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring ground safety excellence and protecting operational resources.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • You would be expected to develop and manage a comprehensive safety management system for ground operations.
  • Establish and enforce safety standards and procedures for all ground activities.
  • Investigate ground incidents and hazards, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate safety matters with organizational staff and promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Track and report safety deficiencies, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Implement safety training programs to enhance hazard awareness and integrate safety protocols into operations.
  • Collaborate with customers on safety and standardization issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
  • Foster a Just Safety Culture within the program.


Qualifications

 

  • Certification in Aviation Safety, Accident Avoidance Training, Composite Risk Management (CRM), and Hazardous Materials Training

 

Experience

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of military experience as a Unit Safety Officer or 10 years of civilian experience as a safety professional in aviation.
  • Proven experience with AW139 rotary-wing platforms is essential.

 

Requirements

 

  • Proficiency in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of rotary-wing operations, aviation maintenance programs, and safety management systems.
  • Strong program management skills with an understanding of aviation contracts.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
