Job Description
Volantes Technical Recruitment is supporting a leading aviation and defence organisation in the search for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join their team based at RAF Valley, Anglesey.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a specialist aircraft maintenance environment, supervising electrical maintenance activities and ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards.
The Role
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee complex aircraft maintenance activities, working independently using approved technical data and instructions while ensuring full compliance with established maintenance procedures and regulations.
You will play a key role in supporting operational aircraft availability while leading and supporting engineering teams during daily maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise complex aircraft maintenance activities

Work independently using approved technical data, procedures and instructions

Ensure maintenance activities comply with Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) requirements

Provide flexibility during peak flying periods, supporting operational flying tasks

Undertake Out-of-Phase (OOP) maintenance tasks during aircraft turnarounds

Assist aircrew with crew-in rectification to ensure aircraft operational readiness

Make informed technical decisions within authorised limits based on experience, trade knowledge and competence
Essential Experience
-
Proven experience working in a supervisory role within an aircraft maintenance environment

Fully competent with relevant engineering authorities and responsibilities
Qualifications

Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or recognised military equivalent

City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance, or equivalent qualification
Security Clearance
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance.
