Play your part as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer at our clients RAF Woodvale site.
The role
As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where you’ll continue to deliver airworthy and serviceable aircraft to our customer in a fast paced, challenging and real-life operational setting critical to future defence output. We work on piston engine aircraft, with carbon fibre frames. Training can be provided for any gaps.
Day to day, you’ll work together in collaboration with our customer to provide aircraft to be used in elementary flying training and air experience flights alongside auxiliary support services such as mechanical transport, air traffic control and airfield fire and crash rescue, as well as:
- Help to drive the delivery of the flying activities at RAF Woodvale alongside your colleagues by taking a ‘Whole Force’ approach to our activities and ensuring that the clients excellent safety and delivery reputation is maintained at all times.
- Responsible for the generation and release to service of serviceable and safe aircraft in accordance with civilian legislation/regulation and in line with company approvals.
- Ensure aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance and all other engineering related activities and services are provided as required to meet and exceed customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs at all times.
This is a full time role is based onsite at RAF Woodvale however the company may, on occasion, ask you to deploy to other sites or support detachments at other operating locations.
Essential experience of the Licensed Aircraft Engineer
Supervisory Experience in aviation environment.
Qualifications for the Licensed Aircraft Engineer
EASA Part 66, B1.2 licence ( or successfully passed a number of modules towards the qualification)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
