Volantes Technical Recruitment, on behalf of our long standing business jet client have the permanent role of Lead Technical Services Coordinator available.

 

This position is based at their Luton facility.

 

THE ROLE

 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Lead Technical Services Coordinator’s role is to be responsible for the day to day operation of the Technical Services Department (Part 145) ensuring adherence to regulatory and customer contract requirements while achieving department performance metrics.

You will liaise with both existing and potential new engineering customers to enhance and develop key relationships.

You will have oversight of and where required produce customer proposals and requests for quotes.

When acting as a primary point for contact for customers for detailed project management prior to, during and post scheduled maintenance inputs, you will also liaise with the Engineering Manager and Hangar Superintendent to ensure that adequate resources and equipment are available for any works to be undertaken.

You will monitor maintenance activities against agreed schedules and financial targets, in conjunction with management, ensuring that all relevant parties are aware of any deficiencies that may emerge in respect of customer issues or financial implications and manage that process accordingly.

You will ensure that tasks that are under your remit are achieved in accordance with both company procedures and customer requirements, ensuring that Technical Services procedures are adhered to, and ensuring that all work carried out complies with the relevant Regulatory Authority at that time.

 

 

THE HOURS

 

Due to the nature of the business, the Lead Technical Services Coordinator is required to provide an exceptionally high level of service and is responsible for ensuring that business needs are met in a timely and appropriate manner.

Given that the Company operates on a 365 days a year basis, the hours for this position are as required for the business. Some out of hour’s calls / work is expected and flexibility will be required, however normal working hours will generally be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, as below;

 

  • 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday
  • 08:00 to 16:00 Friday

 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

 

The successful candidates for this role shall be flexible, have the ability to prioritise and demonstrate good communication skills.

Previous experience of working within an Engineering or Technical Services environment is essential and knowledge of a Part-145 Maintenance Repair Organisation would be advantageous. Preference will be given to those that have gained this experience in a corporate /private / business aviation environment. You will have demonstrable people management experience, and have dealt with aspects such as probations and appraisal processes.

 

Applicants should have an organised, adaptable and flexible approach with strong interpersonal skills and a diplomatic approach. You will be enthusiastic, willing to learn and maintain a professionala ppearance and manner at times in sometimes challenging circumstances.

The ability to prioritise in an ever-changing environment, remain calm and adapt under pressure are essential for the role.

Excellent communication skills are key to this role, combined with courtesy and integrity which are equally as important. Good administration skills and computer literacy (Microsoft packages,general working knowledge of systems) are essential qualities. If not first language, English must be spoken / written to a fluent standard.

 

The role may at times be required to provide support at other locations, or travel to customer facilities therefore a full UK driving license is essential, as is holding the right to live and work in the UK.

You will also need to have a 5-year checkable history in order to obtain an airport ID pass.

 

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS

 

Remuneration - £43,000 - £50,000 per annum
