Role Overview

 

Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a H160 B1.3 / B2 Licensed Technician. This role is responsible for performing and certifying both mechanical (B1.3) and avionic (B2) maintenance activities on H160 helicopters in accordance with EASA Part-145 requirements and company procedures.

 

The position provides hands-on technical capability across airframe, powerplant, electrical and avionics systems. The role contributes to safety, regulatory compliance, technical quality, and on-time aircraft delivery within the H160 programme.

 

Based on operational needs, the technician may also support AOG recovery and field operations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

H160 Maintenance & Certification

  • Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on H160 helicopters.
  • Act as certifying staff within the scope of company authorisation (CRS).
  • Execute and support:
    • Base and line maintenance inspections
    • Dynamic component replacement
    • Engine and system-related tasks
    • Avionic system testing and LRU replacement
    • Electrical troubleshooting and wiring inspections
  • Support aircraft release to service in accordance with Part-145.

 

 

Mechanical & Avionic Troubleshooting

  • Support fault isolation on mechanical, electrical and avionic systems.
  • Interpret and apply AMM, IPC, WDM, SRM, TSM and OEM documentation.
  • Assist in root-cause analysis of defects and non-routine findings.
  • Develop progressive autonomy in decision-making within authorised scope.

 

 

Operational Support

  • Support hangar operations according to workload priorities.
  • Contribute to AOG recovery when required.
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers and planning teams to ensure efficient work package execution.

 

 

Required Profile

  • Minimum 3 years of documented hands-on experience in helicopter maintenance
  • Valid EASA Part-66 B1.3
  • Valid EASA Part-66 B2
  • Valid H160 Type Rating (B1.3 and B2)
  • Experience within an EASA Part-145 organisation
  • Good troubleshooting capability across mechanical and avionic system
  • Ability to work in a structured and disciplined manner

 

Added Value

  • Experience on additional Airbus platforms (H145 or others)
  • Exposure to heavy maintenance inputs
  • Experience in AOG or field support
