Quality Assurance Inspector – Rotorcraft
Latrobe, PA | Direct Hire | FAR 145 Repair Station

Volantes Technical Recruitment is working on behalf of Rotortrade USA Inc., a FAR 145 Repair Station based at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport (Latrobe, PA), to identify an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector with rotorcraft maintenance experience. This is a key compliance and oversight role within a growing rotary-wing MRO, working closely with maintenance, engineering, and leadership to uphold the highest standards of airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

The Role

  • Perform inspection functions in line with the Repair Station Quality Control Manual
  • Maintain full familiarity with applicable FARs, manufacturer procedures, and other governing technical data
  • Carry out progressive and pre-close inspections on in-work aircraft
  • Provide technical guidance and training support to technicians
  • Ensure inspections are correctly completed and documented across all work orders
  • Conduct scheduled audits of the Repair Station and approved vendors
  • Manage records research, logbook entries, and completion of FAA Form 337 and 8130-3
  • Prepare documentation for aircraft import/export Certificates of Airworthiness
  • Evaluate maintenance facilities and vendor shops for safety and equipment compliance
  • Maintain technician training records and programs

What You'll Need

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate — required; Inspection Authorization (IA) strongly preferred
  • 5+ years' aircraft maintenance and repair experience, with inspection-focused experience within the last 3 years
  • Proven rotorcraft maintenance background — essential
  • Experience on any of the following is a strong plus: Leonardo A109/A119/AW139, AW169, Airbus H135/H145/H160/H125, Bell 407/429
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship route at this stage)
