Summary
An exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated, senior professional seeking a challenging and rewarding leadership role within a fast-paced, growing MRO business. Based on-site at St Athan, the Accountable Manager will lead the operational team in delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective aircraft transition services to airline and lessor customers. A key objective of the role is to achieve operational excellence through strong leadership, positive culture, and the implementation of business improvement strategies — all whilst maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the Maintenance Operations team, providing strong direction and management with a results-oriented focus across safety, people, quality, service delivery, and cost.
- Ensure compliance with the organisation's Part 145 MOEs and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Drive the safety strategy and make a proactive contribution to the overall safety culture of the business, influencing key stakeholders on all safety aspects relating to service delivery.
- Determine and enact requisite actions for the management of non-compliances, establishing robust processes and a working framework for all future non-compliance issues.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with relevant regulatory bodies.
- Lead, organise, measure, and drive the performance of the operations team in support of company goals and objectives.
- Provide technical support to the operational team as required.
- Design, develop, and deliver management processes that comply with relevant regulatory and business requirements.
- Proactively measure, monitor, and evaluate operational KPIs, taking appropriate actions to ensure performance levels are maintained.

Skills & Experience
- 10+ years' experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably with exposure to aircraft lessors.
- Degree or equivalent level of knowledge and skill acquired through experience, qualifications, and professional development.
- Proven experience operating at senior level within an MRO function, with strong leadership and management credentials.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a range of project types, complex business initiatives, and change programmes.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving continuous improvement and developing business cases.
- Liaison experience with aviation industry stakeholders, particularly lessors.
- Working knowledge of inspection procedures, methods, equipment, and accepted industry standards.
- Strong background in Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality assurance within the aviation maintenance industry.
- Previous experience as a Form 4 post holder.
- EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (preferred).
