Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – Energy & Utilities (Contract)

Contract: Long-term contract opportunity

Volantes Renewables are supporting a major infrastructure contractor delivering works across the energy and utilities sector in Scotland.

Due to continued project awards, we are now looking to engage an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager on a contract basis.

This role will be site and project delivery focused, overseeing civil and electrical infrastructure works associated with large-scale energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of project delivery from mobilisation through to completion

• Managing site teams, subcontractors and suppliers

• Programme planning and progress tracking against milestones

• Client liaison and stakeholder management

• Managing project risk, cost control and change management

• Ensuring HSEQ standards and compliance are maintained at all times

• Reporting on project performance, progress and commercial status

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering projects within energy, utilities, transmission, substations or infrastructure

• Background in civil engineering, electrical infrastructure, or multi-discipline construction projects

• Experience managing subcontractors and field-based teams

• Strong understanding of programme management and reporting

• SMSTS (or equivalent) preferred

• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Experience on power, grid, or renewable energy projects

• NEC contract awareness

• Previous contractor or principal contractor environment
