About the Role
Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a skilled B1 Licensed Engineer to join a highly respected Mobile Service Team, providing rapid response maintenance and AOG support across the South of England and occasionally further afield.
This is a dynamic and varied field-based role ideal for engineers who thrive on flexibility, independence, and hands-on technical challenges.

The successful engineer will deliver high-quality line and AOG support directly from mobile support units and line stations, ensuring minimal downtime and outstanding service for clients.

Key Responsibilities
-
Perform and certify line maintenance and AOG tasks to the highest safety and regulatory standards.

Deliver rapid response maintenance across multiple locations using Mobile Service Team vehicles.

Coordinate line and AOG events from initiation to completion, ensuring efficient communication and timely resolution.

Ensure the MST vehicle is fully stocked, maintained, and deployment-ready at all times.

Maintain full compliance with Part-145 and all company maintenance procedures.

Adhere to health, safety, and COSHH requirements at all times.

Provide accurate recordkeeping and effective communication with planning and operations teams.
Requirements
Essential
-
Unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence with at least one of the listed aircraft type ratings.

Proven line and base maintenance experience, ideally with AOG or mobile support exposure.

Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Full UK Driving Licence and valid passport.

Flexible and able to travel at short notice.
Desirable

Experience mentoring or leading small teams.

Knowledge of Safety Management Systems and Quality Assurance practices.

Strong coaching and communication skills.
