About the Role

Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking experienced UKCAA B1 and B2 Licensed Engineers to join a leading business aviation maintenance operation based at Bournemouth Airport.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of aircraft within a modern, well-equipped base facility, offering long-term stability, training opportunities, and clear paths for professional growth.

Preferred Type:

  • Learjet (Type rating highly desirable)

Type training and development will be provided for the right candidates, making this an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to broaden their skillset within business aviation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and certify planned, unscheduled, and ad-hoc maintenance tasks to the highest standard.

  • Act as a certifying engineer for allocated maintenance inputs, ensuring work meets both regulatory and company requirements.

  • Oversee and ensure quality, performance, and compliance of maintenance activities.

  • Maintain valid licences and type ratings, ensuring all records remain current.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and operational stakeholders.

  • Accurately record timekeeping and maintenance details in relevant systems.

  • Support continuous improvement and uphold safety and housekeeping standards.

 

Requirements

Essential

  • Unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 B1 or B2 Licence

  • Proven base maintenance experience with strong technical and diagnostic skills

  • Current recency suitable for issue of certifying privileges

  • Full UK Driving Licence

 

Desirable

  • Learjet type rating or experience on similar business jet types

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities

  • Flexible, team-focused attitude
