Job Description

Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking experienced and motivated UK CAA Licensed Aircraft Engineers (B1/B2) to join a well-established engineering operation based at East Midlands Airport.

Training and type rating opportunities are available for the right candidates — including the Vulcanair P68R ‘Victor’ (Group 3 type). Engineers with similar experience are also encouraged to apply, as full support and training can be provided.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to the highest standards.

  • Supervise, inspect, and certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Part-145 regulations.

  • Maintain personal licensing currency and ensure type ratings remain valid.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to maintain operational excellence.

  • Accurately record time and job details in relevant systems.

Requirements

Essential

  • Unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 Licence (Category B1 and/or B2).

  • Demonstrable experience in base maintenance, inspection, and modification work.

  • Current recency to support issue of certifying privileges.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Group 3 type rating for Vulcanair P68R ‘Victor’.

  • Experience with mission system operation and maintenance.

  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
