Volantes Technical Recruitment, on behalf of our Ireland based fixed wing client have the permanent role of HR Officer Available.

 

This is a Monday – Friday role at their Dublin HQ

Job Purpose

 

As HR Officer at , you will be a key member of our team, playing an essential role in welcoming new staff to the company, supporting employee needs, and overseeing a variety of important HR tasks.

 

You would be responsible for guiding the recruitment process, helping crew transition smoothly into their roles, and providing ongoing support for our employees.

 

Your day-to-day will also involve handling HR administration and assisting with any employee-related matters that arise.

 

This role requires someone who is well-organised, has a sharp attention to detail, and enjoys collaborating with others in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

 

Travel will be required to attend meetings, pilot recruitment assessments and other company-related activities on occasion.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

HR Administration

 

  • Maintain and update HR records, employee files, and crew documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

 

Pilot Recruitment & Selection

 

  • Assist with recruitment activities, including scheduling and conducting interviews, coordinating with candidates, and arranging recruitment assessments. There will also be a requirement to travel on occasion to coordinate pilot
  • recruitment interviews and simulator assessments.

 

Onboarding & Induction

 

  • Ensure a smooth transition for new hires by preparing induction materials and guiding them through onboarding.

 

Employee Relations Support

 

  • Assist with employee relations (ER) casework, including investigations, documentation, and record-keeping.

 

HR Initiatives & Engagement

 

  • Support HR programmes related to performance management, training and development, and employee engagement to foster a positive work environment.

 

General HR Support

 

  • Handle administrative HR tasks such as drafting correspondence, processing HR documentation, payroll processing and addressing employee enquiries.

 

Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support

 

  • Work closely with internal departments to support HR-related matters.

 

Project Support

 

  • Assist with HR-related projects, including policy development, process improvements, and HR system enhancements.

 

Health and Safety

 

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with all Company standards and being aware of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work.

 

Environment and Sustainability

 

  • Minimise our environmental impact by complying with all Company standards and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Emergency Response

 

  • Maintain knowledge of the emergency response programme policies, processes, and procedures, as defined by the  Emergency Response Procedures.

 

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Level 3 CIPD Certification (or equivalent) or progress toward certification in HR.
  • Proven experience in HR, including administration and record management, recruitment and payroll.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail, with a strong capacity to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently.

 

Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Familiarity with international aviation regulations, procedures, and terminology advantageous.
  • Experience with HR software (e.g., People HR) advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HR and aviation management systems (e.g. SMS) is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to work.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is preferred.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside of normal business hours as required.
