Volantes Technical Recruitment, on behalf of our UAE based Rotary client have the permanent role of Quality Assurance Manager available.
This is a full-time permanent role that would involve full relocation to the area if you aren’t already based there.
Summary
The role of an Aviation Quality Assurance Manager is pivotal in ensuring the safety, compliance, and efficiency of aviation operations.
This position involves a wide range of responsibilities aimed at maintaining and improving the quality of aviation services and operations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) for helicopter operations in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits of maintenance, operational procedures, and compliance with regulatory standards to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and safety departments to ensure that quality and safety standards are integrated into all aspects of helicopter operations.
- Manage the investigation of incidents and non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors, facilitating inspections and ensuring compliance with all aviation safety regulations.
- Develop and deliver quality assurance training programs, engagement programs, management systems, to promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and safety.
- Monitor changes in regulations and industry standards, updating internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality assurance activities, audit results, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation safety standards, regulations (FAA, EASA or equivalent), and best practices in quality management.
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certification is highly desirable. Preferably with Aviation emphasis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience
- Minimum 10-15 years working in (Aviation) Quality Assurance
- Minimum 5 as a (Aviation) Quality Assurance Manager
- Must be able to read & write in English
