Volantes Technical Recruitment have a new and exciting role working as an Aircraft Maintenance Cost Estimator to work at the Bournemouth or Farnborough site with hybrid working options available. Working within the dynamic MRO Sales Team within the company aircraft maintenance organisation, this role will report directly to the Head of Sales MRO. You will raise cost estimates and generate quotations for the maintenance of clients’ aircrafts, liaise with customers through the planning process, and support the team in the delivery of proposals.

 

This role will hold a great deal of responsibility which in turn comes with endless opportunity for impact and freedom for your own initiatives.  The successful candidate will be used to working under pressure, be able to problem solve and work individually as well as within a team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Raise cost estimates and generate quotations for aircraft maintenance inputs
  • Researching parts prices, changes to maintenance schedules, and competitor offerings
  • Liaising with customers, and internal departments, throughout the front-end planning process
  • Researching and completing ad-hoc project work
  • Developing and upkeeping of databases used for sales and quoting
  • Assisting with collating and correcting data for invoice processing and generation.
  • General and technical administration as required

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential

  • Possess a good working knowledge of raising estimates and generating quotations.
  • The ability to read and understand aircraft maintenance manuals, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, STCs, design and modification documents
  • Excellent communication skills are required for this position with customer facing experience beneficial
  • A good standard of English and Maths
  • Enthusiastic and proactive
  • Attention to detail with the ability to sustain thoroughness and accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Advantageous

  • Raising of cost estimates and generating quotations in corporate aviation
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing, workshop, or engineering environment, with preference given to candidates from within the aviation/aerospace industry ideally with Bombardier, Textron and/or Embraer experience
  • Recent experience in processing invoicing and billing is an advantage
  • Experience with CAMP/Traxxall/relevant aircraft maintenance tracking software/status reports is an advantage
  • Preference given to candidates from within the aviation/aerospace industry
