Job Description

Volantes Technical Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer based in Kuwait on a 8-4 shift rotation. The Quality Engineer will be primarily responsible for assisting with monitoring comlpiance and the adequacy of procedures to ensure compliance with the requirement of Part 145. The Quality Engineer will arrange and perform scheduled and non-scheduled audits and provide regulatory advice, guidance and coordination to management and employees. Working with exclusive aircraft including AS365, EC135 and H225, this is a rewarding opportunity for Quality Engineer to enhance their capabilities, gaining exposure and experience supporting a government contract. This is a fixed term contract position until June 2025. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support with compliance monitoring which includes a feedback system to the accountable manager to ensure corrective action as necessary;
  • Monitors activities carried out under Part 145 are being performed in accordance with the approved procedures;
  • Monitors that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the contract;
  • Monitors the continued compliance with requirements of Part 145 and Part M;
  • Should accompany a competent authority auditor/surveyor throughout an audit to ensure organisation is fully aware of any findings raised during the audit;
  • Shall be jointly accountable for the Part 145 quality policy, plan and audit procedures;
  • Share responsibility for the currency of the MOE;
  • Deputise for Quality Manager within Maintenance and Engineering functions in Kuwait;
  • Conduct Compliance investigations as required;
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with EASA regulation in accordance with the QMS. Strive to deliver excellence in accordance with the Kuwait vision and strategy.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Quality Manager in support of the Compliance Monitoring Programme
  • Ability to hold the EASA Quality Manager Form 4 as approved by the CAA for the following approvals Part M, P145
  • Ability to hold the appropriate security clearance required for the role
  • Capable line manager
  • Active team player with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Sound knowledge of the organisation’s operations, procedures and activities
  • Broad aviation technical knowledge including considerable experience within Engineering and Maintenance department
  • Extensive knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) and have completed appropriate QMS training
  • Experience in conducting safety/ compliance audits and inspections
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internal and external to the organization
  • Human Factors training
  • Safety Management Systems
  • EWIS
  • Fuel Tank Safety

Advantageous

  • Experience in HEMS, SAR or Oil and Gas helicopter operating environgments
  • Able to demonstrate excellent commercial awareness
