Aircraft Stores Operative
Location: Oxford
We are on the lookout for an Aircraft Stores Operative to join one of our client’s teams in Oxford!
This is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday.
Below are some of the responsibilities you will have to carry out.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect and book in aircraft parts, consumables, and tooling, verifying certification, condition, and conformity.
- Accurately issue and record stock against work orders and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain correct storage, segregation, and handling of aircraft materials in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and replenish stock levels to support planned and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Assist with stock checks, cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Ensure all materials have correct airworthiness release certification before acceptance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the company’s inventory management system.
- Support compliance with Part 145 and CAMO requirements regarding traceability and material control.
- Ensure correct handling and storage of hazardous materials in compliance with COSHH and IATA regulations.
- Manage packing, labelling, and dispatch of aircraft parts, including import/export and customs documentation.
- Support Aircraft on Ground Events through rapid sourcing, issuing and shipping of critical spares.
- Arrange collection and dispatch of components for repair, overhaul or exchange with approved vendors.
- Control and manage tooling calibration schedules, including coordination with approved calibration providers.
- Maintain stores areas in a safe, organised, and secure condition.
- Ensure handling equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately.
- Adhere to company health and safety policies and promote a safe working environment.
- Perform such other tasks as are reasonably requested by the company.
