Volantes Technical Recruitment , on behalf of our long-standing UK Based Client have permanent roles available for Stores Supervisors at their Luton base.
Working 5-5-4 Shift Pattern, 12 Hour Shifts, mixture of Days and Nights
We are looking for a highly professional individual who will respond to the needs of the business and group requirements in an effective and efficient manner. You will be proficient in warehousing, part accountability, stock rotation and will remain committed in your approach to work.
About the role
The Stores Supervisor will take the primary responsibility for all warehousing operations in support of the Mobile Support Teams and wider company contracts. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain the Stores Supervisor shall be responsible for the control of the Luton warehouse and its associated tasks including (but not exclusively to) part storage and distribution, core and owe backs and the maintenance, calibration and the supply of tooling to the engineering workforce across the Engineering Service Line (ESL).
Responsibilities
Warehousing
- Ensuring the correct storage and distribution of all of components, parts, materials and tools in-line with OEM recommendations and airworthiness regulations
- Delivering the effect management of all warehouse tasks inclusive of shelf life, stock rotation, calibration
- Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly checks are carried out iaw airworthiness regulations
- Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, tidy and as efficient as possible
- Ensuring all goods in processing is conducted in accordance aircraft regulations
- Delivering the physical selection of, and completion of stock / tooling issues to Engineering
- Acting as the focal point for all Dangerous Goods movement in Scotland
- Ensuring all Dangerous Goods (DG) to and from vendors / outstations are iaw with these regulations
- Ensuring the prompt management of all core returns from the maintenance hangar
- Processing all rotables through the supply chain to the appropriate vendors avoiding penalty clauses
- Ensuring the auditable and quality processes are meet
Forward Planning
- Planning and coordination with engineering for upcoming aircraft checks and communicating with engineers daily to ensure they are fully updated on their incoming parts requirements
- Delivering accurate and representative stock holdings and ensure outstation support is provided for Aberdeen and Inverness ensuring dispatched items have been received and are logged on the MRP inventory control system and the subsequent recording of any usage
- Support is provided for aircraft maintenance checks undertaken at remote bases
Communicate
- Ensure timely updates to the ESL of all parts received and their schedule for delivery
- Ensure coordination with engineering is conducted
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required
- Comprehensive knowledge of parts release paperwork in aviation
- Working knowledge of aviation parts procurement – procurement, warehouse and tool control
- Key knowledge of maintaining a parts department
- ADR & IATA Dangerous Goods Qualification
- Forklift Operator
- Ability to work unaided and without guidance
- Team player and interactive
- Excellent communication skills
