Volantes Technical Recruitment, on behalf of our Canada Based Rotary Client are looking to recruit Licenced Engineers for the upcoming introduction of the AW169 to the client’s fleet.

We would of course be keen to speak with any Engineers , that already have or have in the past had a Transport Canada issued Aircraft Maintenance Licence with some experience on the AW169 or similar Leonardo Aircraft products.

The client will however consider Engineers from out with Canada that are willing to relocate to one of the bases that will be operating the AW169 with a view to converting your Licence to a Transport Canada licence as well as enrolling you on the next available AW169 Type Course

The ideal candidate:

• Ideally already hold a valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 AME license.

Our client has positions available in both Line & Base Maintenance.

4 on 4 off, 6 on 6 off shift pattern

Reporting to the Chief Engineer and under the day-to-day supervision of the Shift Supervisor, the position holder will be required to perform base and line maintenance on various Company aircraft types.

Ideally, you will already be type rated on 1 or both of the below aircraft however the client will consider engineers not typed with a view to enrolling you on the next available type course

The incumbent reports to the Accountable Manager and will be responsible for the direction and control of the Engineering Department for all aircraft maintenance functions to provide safe, airworthy, reliable, and presentable aircraft for commercial operations in accordance with CASA PNG Rules, OGP guidelines and BARS requirements.  Flights, meals, and accommodation will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Operational management of the maintenance organisation providing clear directions & decisions for the activities conducted to meet customer service standards, regulatory and compliance targets
• Accountable for the most cost-effective utilisation of manpower and resources to ensure projects are completed to agreed timeliness to meet CAMO’s expectations
• Provide responses to audit findings and take definitive action to develop & implement remedial/corrective action

• Ensure spare parts and materials are on hand or able to be delivered to meet project deadlines
• The Engineering Manager is responsible to the Director of Engineering for the functions associated with providing technical services support to the company.
• Be familiar with the PNG CAR’s, customer and local requirements affecting our operations and ensure the clients manuals and systems reflect those requirements and ensure that the Engineering Department otherwise use “good engineering practices” in their maintenance procedures.
• Manage and arrange technical training to comply with PNG CAR, OGP, BARS and local requirements.

Job Requirements

Current Part 66 engineering license either B1.1/ B1.3 or B2 category license on at least one type of aircraft operated by the company.

Current company fleet comprises ATR42-320/500, DHC6-300 Fixed Wing,

Bell 412/212/407, AS332L2, and H145 D2/D3 (BK117) Helicopters.

At least 10 years’ experience in civil aircraft maintenance

At least 5 years’ experience in the management of aircraft maintenance activities, and

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Personnel leadership skills in an operational environment

Comprehensive knowledge of PNG Civil Aviation Regulations.

The Technical Services Controller will identify and oversee any engineering input at their nominated Base for both Line and Base Maintenance inputs as identified in their duties and responsibilities, to achieve on time delivery of aircraft to the Operations Department as required.
