Volantes Technical Recruitment, on behalf of our long-standing Germany based Rotary client have the permanent role of Project Supervisor available.


This position is at their Oberpfaffenhofen | Airport base.


Duties and responsibilities


  • Ensuring the highest standard of safety and airworthiness
  • Ensuring continuous adherence to company policy and procedures
  • Fostering a safe and clean work environment, ensuring the utilization of the HS&E Manual and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), (gloves, safety glasses, etc.) when appropriate




  • Part 66 Cat. A, B1.3 or B2 (and C) Licensed engineer
  • Type rating on at least two of the following types: AW109, AW139, AW169, BK117 C1
  • At least 5 years of experience in aeronautical maintenance activity
  • Knowledge of o applicable safety procedures o aeronautical rules and regulations o maintenance materials, manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and advisory circulates o human factors, human performance capacity and limitation o the operational approvals, privileges and restrictions o Part-M, Part-145 and other relevant regulations o planning/scheduling o heavy maintenance inspection coordination
  • Very good English language skills
  • Time management and project supervision skills
  • Ability to work with a team or independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively explain instructions and guidelines to others
  • Ability to schedule and take decisions




  • Co-ordinating and prioritizing maintenance activities to ensure the safest and highest aircraft dispatch availability rate possible
  • Ensuring that work preparation is done to meet requirements for a timely maintenance performance
  • Ensuring that tasks are delegated to staff and necessary information is disseminated amongst all involved
  • Ensuring the daily “Toolbox” briefings are carried out
  • Reporting the work progress to the Maintenance Manager through project plans
  • Ensuring there are no HUMS-Heliwise warnings prior to the aircraft being released of service, in case of HUMS-Heliwise warnings: performing required action in accordance with HSI – HUMS Analysis and Troubleshooting Manual Reporting, scheduling and preparing unscheduled and husbandry maintenance activities
  • Ensuring the upkeep of the maintenance facility on a day to day basis and reporting discrepancies to the Maintenance Manager
  • Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is been documented correctly
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out effectively and efficiently
  • Supervision and inspection of the work performed by helicopter technicians in order to ensure that maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable regulations (including health and safety regulations)
  • Troubleshooting helicopter difficulties with pilots and technicians in order to accurately diagnose and repair problems
  • Motivation of the team to work together and to accomplish tasks
  • Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
