We’re currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager – Rotary Wing to join their growing operation in Cairns, North Queensland.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing the Rotary Wing Engineering Department and ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities for matters covered under the MOE.

Lead and guide maintenance personnel to ensure daily activities are performed in line with company procedures and aviation standards.

Oversee manpower planning and rostering in compliance with fatigue management rules.

Manage the engineering facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Provide strong management support to Technical Services and ensure adequate storage for tools, equipment, and materials.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of Part 145 MOS and ensure ongoing compliance with approval ratings and CASR 1998.

Actively promote the Safety Management System and champion the integration of human factors and performance principles within the engineering teams.

Drive customer engagement and ensure service delivery meets agreed standards and expectations.
What You’ll Bring

Proven management experience within an aviation maintenance environment or similar.

Relevant qualifications such as an Advanced Diploma of Aviation Management (Avionics or Mechanical) or equivalent units of competency.

Strong working knowledge of CASA Part 42, 145 and CAR 30 regulations.

An Aircraft Engineering Licence relevant to rotary wing aircraft.
